It was interesting to say the least. Being new rider, was never sure when it's wet roads. Today, could see it's pouring so had to decide between cage and me bike.,. Confused
Decided to ride, the elements were all ready to make me rue my decision, the shining road markings, the leaves on the road, the pool of water, ignorant cagers , heavy downpour... but i fought along with the help of my HG goretex textiles and my newly found love of life (ninja).. Twisted Evil And 40 mins later, I walked in office, all fresh and with a BIG smile. Very Happy
I have overcome my weather demon. Thumbs Up

It felt like I had really accomplished something the first time I went out riding in the rain. I was really pleased with myself.
Nice one with facing your weather demon Very Happy

Just a thought, your waterproof jacket wont stay so for all that long so its worth investing in an oversuit of some sort, that way you can arrive not smelling like a box of dead dogs Wink

I find the rain a bit of a weird one, sometimes i dont mind, others its a right feckin pain in the ass, especially at night where it makes vission even worse and sometimes your rideing half blind Thumbs Down At the same time ive had some of my most enjoyable rideouts in the rain, and you really do need to be prepaered for it even if you dont choose to go out this is the uk afterall Rain

Well done.

I did almost 8 hrs riding on my DAS course one day, the ride back was in the dark and rain, it was hard work (esp as I was not feeling so well).

Cor, I ached that night!

Yep and also periodically stuff the jacket into the tumble dryer (low setting) to dry. The waterproofing polymers in materials like gortex are activated by heat. Warming them every few weeks helps to keep working.

Lol, I broke my top speed in the rain... Lucky there's no corners on motorways :-p

It was a really nice hot summers evening but was absolutely chucking it down... quite a weird experience being wet and warm on the bike at the same time...

I used to commute every day from York to Sheffield weather rain or snow, luckily I don't have a sense of smell but apparently my leathers began to stink after a while!!!

Chris

Dew... was it you waiting at a little bastard of a roundabout just up from Northwood Hills? There is a tyre place just off of it and it is crawling with school kids. If it was you, I took the car that day. Fuck that Sick

Nope,
I take the internal route from eastcote station straight to A40 via ruislip, hillingdon. There is a bitchy mini roundabout there as well, which I luv when am in me bike Laughing

I hang them over the radiator and it seems to do the trick. Thumbs Up Can't do any setting in my dryer Neutral

Well, it's HG jacket and guaranteed by them for 5 years. I have to spray once a month and it should do the job! That's wat I got advised by my local shop. I am not goin to buy an over suit, 'cos the reason i bought textiles was wateproofing Thumbs Up But I will wash them to keep stink away Twisted Evil
