Battlefield 2142

Just as I was starting to get the hang of this game, the last 2 patches seem to have fooked it up. In all fairness, the game runs smoother for most of the time, it just keeps kicking me out of games and giving me the old "You have been disconnected from the server" message.

Anyone else having this problem, or know of a solution?

Meh its an alright game and I get the same thing

To be honest its battlefield engine for ya I get fed up trying to play bf2/2142 cause my pc is a good spec and even on a low setting it takes the same amount of time to load both games etc.

Its got some issues that need working out to be perfect and as far as im aware nothing to fix issues yet.

Still great fun when it gets going

I've pretty much mastered the Support class, but the HMG is cack so moving on to mess around with Assault. I've unlocked the Lambert Carbine on Recon so that I can use the demo packs in Titan assaults, and I've unlocked the Engineer's anti-tank rifle for a bit more wallop against vehicles.

I,m best as assault class, 22nd century stormtrooper with BAUR H-AR assault rifle with shotgun and programmable bursting munition rocket launcher modfications to the Rifle, plus a few hand grenades for "oh shit he,s behind that hill" moments

I'm definately best as the Assault class, although I am getting to grips with the Support class as well now.

Sorry to Drag up an old'ish thread, but today I decided to buy a new graphics card so I can put my Dusty BF2 Disk to use. Its been sat in my room for about 6 months, and Ive never played it as my Graphics card was naff.

Just got a Gforce2600 or somthing, Pretty cool. And even though its 256mb, and BF2 only requires a 128mb G/C, it still runs a bit jumpy at times. Slightly dissapointed in the performance.


The game on a whole is quite impressive though. Took some getting used to, And Im still only begining to Understand bits.

Is there a BCF Host at all?

Would be great to get a BCF Battle going.

A lot of what appears to be graphical lag is actually server-side, especially on 64 man servers or inside the Titans.

I'm having a terrible time since the last patch, with crashes and random disconnects.
