I mentioned in my other thread today that I had seen a couple of stunning custom streetfighter/drag bikes in one of our local dealers today.

Well I've found their website, turns out they are actually an American outfit, but 2 of the bikes on the gallery page (Stars & Bars and the GSXR1000 at the top) are currently residing in Todmorden!

The GSXR1000 is possibly one of the most stunning custom bikes I've ever seen, and I've seen a few.

Have a look HERE and tell me what you think!

sorry but they do nothing for me. why do the yanks insist in transforming everthing they touch into a pastiche of 1960's detroit muscle? Confused

I don't like the extended swing arms, just leaves a big gap Thumbs Down

Paint looks good though and the back tyre on the 05 gixxer is ridiculous Shocked

Well' i'm going to learn how to airbrush or get somebody to do it but i've not seen ANY bike done in a batik colour scheme. I reckon it'll look really unique, sure not to everybody's taste, but reflects on my traditional Javanese heritage.

Something like this designed onto key elements of the bike will have a unique effect.

https://www.kulukgallery.com/images/batik-solo-a.jpg

That sort of design on a Gixxer or R1 will loo different.

I've not got a photo, but I once done my whole guitar in batik pattern using pastels.

I'm not talking the whole bike, but i'm visualising the bike as a blank white canvas, in a similar way to my guitar.

I don't like ANY of those stateside customs, It's all naff and too many people do the same thing. Flames & pearlescent and chrome... lots OF It.
