Honda VT500C Shadow

I have decided to go for the DR650 I was looking at, but he is offering me a crap trade in on the Shadow. I have only had it for a few weeks, and paid 1300 big ones for it.

It is a 1985, B reg, originally from Georgia in the USA. It was imported in 1993 when my friend bought it. He kept it in his garage and spent more on polish and wax than petrol. When my ZZR gave in, he sold it to me with a heady 11000 miles on the clock!

It is really immaculate, but has a repair on the left exhaust. It passed it's MOT a month or so ago and has a full years tax.

I want about 1200 for it, that way I can afford the DR of my dreams, and bugger off to Spain on it in April, please, let my dream come true!!!

EDIT: The guy selling the DR said he will take 950 cash, so that is all I want for the Shadow! I only have a week or two realistically before someone snaps it up so please help!!!
