Any one recomend a good pair of winter gloves

Just wondering what winter gloves you lot use and how you rate them.

I am looking for a good pair and just wanted to hear your views on your own.

Hein gericke panthans (the ones with twin fingers)

£40, 2 year guarentee, kept me nice and warm so far (without the use of muffs).

Once It gets seriously cold, I may add muff's to the equation.

I personally use Joe Rocket Summer gloves for all situations bar its absolutely pissing down outside and i am just gearing up. My hands get pretty cold sometimes but i have greater feel for the throttle/ bars. and if it stops raining it only takes 10-15 mins of riding to dry them most of the way through...

For worse weather I wear a pair of Dainese waterproofs i forget the name of them, they are black with no armor, and go up just above the wrist... They are reasonably warm but do tend to soak all the way through after a while...

I have yet to find the ultimate pair of winter gloves, good feel and actually waterproof... Lets hope someone else has the answers...

another vote for the Pathans, although you can get 'lobster claw' style over gloves, which you wear over regular gloves, which are wind and waterproof, so keeping your hands warmer than regular gloves.

I bought HG warmest (possibly thickest) gloves and still froze on my commute to work (40 mins). Had no feelings left when i parked up! Got oxford hot grips and am using my summer gloves since then!!
IMO unless you planning using bar muffs no gloves gonna suffice (unless they are heated gloves..)
But din't you get fined and banned (if i r'ber correctly!!) ??

I've got a pair of alpinestars mirage drystar gloves retail £40. I got mine for £31, keeps me warm for winter but flexible because it has a little bit of protection on palms etc. i'd say these gloves are made to keep you warm but provide light protection.

I just spent £40 on a pair of Weise Sympatex textile/leather gloves. First trial with them left two fingers on my right hand with no feeling, the lining rucked up inside and cut off circulation, hasn't happened again tbf.

Had a 40 odd minute ride lastnight in about 5' they were good for about 30 mins but then the cold started to sink through to my finger tips, pretty good other than that.

They are completely waterproof with some sort of unique Water Release System... Whatever that is...

That journey was at a steady 40mph btw. Wouldn't know how they'd perform at a steady 70mph.

Well I've not really ridden the drystars in heavy rain but they say they are made for all weather conditions (rain resistant membrane) so they should perform well in heavy rain.

I know they aint for Motorcycles but i got some winter gloves from Tog24 last crimbo and i love them to bits

they are very durable, double stitching very thick and water proof, i wore them last nite in the pouring rain and cold wind, i got home soaked but my hands were just toasty mabye worth a thought??

I use the pathans too. Good with rain, very warm. Bit bulky but useable.

Also Ive had the pleasure of crashing in them at about 60 and my hands were fine - my biggest worry about winter gloves were that they would protect me in a crash - and added to that so were the gloves!

I would give them 9/10!
