Ok, just about to get my insurance. What do I do If I have a Meta alarm fitted but have no documentation to prove it???

If my bike gets nicked I guess the insurance company will want proof it was fitted so how do I go about it???

Cheers.

Receipts, either for the alarm or for the fitting.
If you dont have it chances are a friendly garage/mechanic will sort you out a fitting receipt for a coupla pints.....

I bought my bike from a garage as a damaged repairable....not a damage repaired Very Happy after 3 hard days in the garage.

Do you think if I wrote a letter to the previous keeper he might still have the reciepts and stuff for the alarm???

Cheers

Alarm kits have stickers in 'em...and you, er, stick 'em to your bike!

I know what he means,

When you get your insurance you tell them about the alarm. They may want to see copies of the receipt or the warranty/serial no. etc or they may not. The important thing is, that if you make a claim, and can't f find the paperwork, then you may be screwed.

Sorry, misinterpreted the question...I thought that you meant "how do the theives know that the bike has an alarm?"

...take it easy man...
