Should i sell my bike now? or wait...

Well, my insurance is up for renewal in January, and with 3 points and most probably a conviction still in process my insruance will not be cheap!

Another reason is that i dont have restrictions, and if i dont have the bike they cant proove that i wasnt resticted at the time, can they? Although there has been no mention so far of restrictors.

What i was thinking of was a ZXR 400. With restriction proof.

I could insure this cheaper than any 600 im sure, and if i do get banned or revoked ive always got a track bike! Thumbs Up

Not sure what price my bike would be, its seen better days and at around 30k miles for a 52 plate bike its well used!

I should also be able to pay back a wad of my loan to my parents, so that would be nice anyway.

Any thoughts?

"Sell" your bike to a mate with a full license. Make sure you get a receipt and send the log book off. Then if they want to inspect it for restrictors your mate can simply say he removed them and threw them away. You could even still keep the bike at your house as a favour for your mate. Wink

Give some thought to Thundercats and ZZRs too, they're dirt cheap insurance. Thumbs Up

If you get banned you loose your licence. When you do most track days you need your licence, therefore.....
If you was serious about using a 400 for track days it may be an idea to "loose" the card and paper part of your licence now and order a new one for £19 or whatever it is. That way when your licence is revoked (the new one you just ordered) you have a spare to get you on track (the old "lost" one).

Just a thought....
