I had my clutch and chain tightened at a dealer some days ago, and since then I have to almost fully release the clutch for the bike to actually start moving. So when I'm filtering and riding the clutch in first it's annoying as it somehow gives less control when I have to wait till it's almost released for the bike to move, rather than halfway through the release. Is it as simple as loosening it a bit? Is there a correct fix or do people usually tighten & loosen the clutch depending on preference? Thanks.

If you have a cable clutch then its simply a matter of adjusting the cable to suit.
A bit of trial and error and you will soon find the position that suits you.
Its all a matter of taste really.

Also worth checking they didn't over-tighten the chain, you should have at least 2 centimetres of movement from top to bottom, when you're not sat on it.

Why did you take it to a dealer for a simple chain adjustment?

Because I'm still new to biking and didn't know whether just a simple adjustment was required or something more. As I've not had it checked out since I bought it I thought it would be a good idea for someone to take a look before I start fiddling with it.
