To be honest, I reckon sticking discs on a CG125, then pulling a stoppie, will give a good chance of snapping the headstock...
They are pretty spindly forks, and it's not the most hi-tech of frames... not really designed for the braking force disks can offer...
I know it's not what you want to hear, but I'd recommend getting a bike that can handle it

Yeah id also go for summat with a disc as std. All the two stroke competitors to the CG are arguably better, and certainly quicker, (KH125,RXS100,GP125) but they are still just commuter bikes really. If you want cheap fun then an NS,RG,RD,AR125 all offer some speed and better handling and braking. Like G says you could pick up a cheap late 80's bike and spend a few quid sorting it out, so that you have a reliable, and fairly quick bike for little cash, in fact if your that way inclined then theres probably more tuning bits for the older 2 stroke sporty 125's as well, compared to more recent bikes, as well as plenty of stuff in breakers. |
