I'm really interested in these bikes but know nothing about them.
Question Any info, sites etc?
Also, would I fit on one? <6'5" friek > and how much? (also insurance)

Thanks
Wink Kris

It's the baby blade - pretty old now but still looks good. It makes less power than a vfr400 and has a slightly lower top speed but prices are quite cheap. Same insurance group as all the other 400cc race reps.

Very nice bikes, was considering one when looking for a 400. Only thing I didn't like was that you have to rev it pretty hard to get it going quick, handling is very similar to the vfr.

In my opinion, the vfr is more bang for your buck.

Hi

6ft 5 on a 400 I would'nt if I was you, you would be better off getting a 600. If your are interested I can give you lots of suggestions. How old are you?

Why not? I know that VFR400's are tiny, but Zim's ZXR400 is large enough. Don't know about any others though.

Mmm, but I really like the 400's. (though i do like the SV650) Do they handle as good?

Kris you cant compare the handling of the SV650 to any of the
Honda V4 400's !

the NC35 (the predecessor being the NC30 VFR400) are superb!

Designed to do exactly what they say on the Tin! Great responsive
handling (Very short wheelbase) fantastic OHV V4 Brilliant!

SV650 Well! O.K Very relyable but a bit stayed, and to much like
the Bandit for my liking!

From what I've read in 'BIKE', the SV650 has very nimble handling, though you're right the VFR400 is reckoned to be superb!

SummY, have you ridden one of the 400's? Can you compare the two?

At 6'5" you may find a VFR400 a bit of a struggle. I am 6' 2" and I manage okay, but I do find that I put a lot of weight on my wrists due to the very low handlebars especially in town traffic. At higher speeds it is okay though because the windblast helps take the weight off a bit.

The VFR400 is overall great fun especially now that I can legally ride it on the road having passed my full bike licence on Friday!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Allthough the NCs should be good going round corners the SV should be better coming out of them: it doesn't weight much more yet has more power in a much broader spread... At the mo Ducatis are winning in WSB with less power but more of it in the mid-range.
