Been various police efforts against cannabis recently, looks like their work is now having an effect on drug users.

At least everyones safer because cannabis is less easily available. Rolling Eyes

Don't like the way they mention it's due the cannabis shortage at the start and quickly forget about it to remind us how bad heroin is. They can't admit properly that prohibition does more harm than good. Rolling Eyes

Oh no, the terrible weed, t'is evil, so, so evil.

I mean it causes terrible lung cancer, and it's highly addictive and expensive... oh wait that's tobacco.

It causes liver problems and can easily kill when over-dosed on, not to mention making people agressive and dangerous.. oh wait that's alcohol.

..

.....

Weed is um... Illegal and therefore evil!

To quote Layer Cake:

Remember, one day all this drug monkey business will be legal. They won't leave it to people like me, not when they finally figure out how much money there is to be made. Not millions. Fucking billions. Recreational drugs PLC - giving people what they want.

When they figure out weed doesn't hurt anyone any more than tobacco or alcohol, and actually less so, they'll legalise it and the tobacco companies will start huge plantations, the government will take a nice fat wedge out of sales, and cannabis will end up as socially acceptable as tobacco. And it's articles like this that will help the cause. Can't get weed kids? Well the government won't let you have it, so have a nice healthy hit of smack instead. Rolling Eyes

The drought is bad enough in london... If you are gonna take a nighttime joint away from those kids in wales all they will have is alot of time on their hands, alot of white lightning and alot of sheep... thats no good for anyone...

But seriously who would you rather come across while walking down a dark alley after a night out... A group of 5 "hoodies" that were:

A) Drunk
B) High

When all the drugs are made harder to get hold of, they'll be making their own stuff Laughing Thumbs Up

They forgot to mention that because the police have been wasting time trying to prevent Cannabis use, regular smokers have started growing their own. Shifty

If the government had any brains they'd realise that weed actually LOWERS crime.

And I'd bet a lot of money on that.

All those assholes that walk around your neighbourhood causing trouble - most of them probably smoke weed. And if they had a draw to smoke - do you think they'd be outside causing problems?

No, they'd be inside the house, minding their own business like the rest of us, getting high.

If they walked the streets after a smoke? They wouldn't do much. Maybe burst into fits of laughter at every street corner, but I highly, highly doubt they'd do anything illegal or abusive.

Guaranteed if those same youths were drunk and walking around there'd be dozens of broken car windows and lots of phonecalls of abusive kids.

Which would make a pleasant change from them wandering the streets or travelling on public transport and doing so.

Bastages.

Although I doubt they'd actually bother going inside to get high, fair few of them would just continue to do so in public making other people ill with their fumes. I say this mainly because the ones I've approached seem to have smoked so much that it's addled their brains and they are labouring under the misapprehension it's already legal...

(Not that people smoking on public transport annoys me or anything Brick Wall)

LMAO, all of the assholes causing trouble are usually only 14 anyway and it's an accumulation of drugs and drink.

Legalise everything at the end of the day, those who choose to do the drugs will die or have mental health problems anyway. Just like smokers are able to kill themselves and people who drink kill their livers.
