Hi
Some of you may know that my bike is costing me a fortune to run an fix. So i was thinkin of instead of takin it o a garge all the fecking time I could do stufff myself, E.G chain/sprokets, wheels, Break dics ect. So i was wondering is it easy or im a just gunna fuck it up and end up binning it at 50mph round a left hander. Of course i would take it to the gargae for the more complicated like steering head bearings ect. You cant trust garages, they all just rip u off an take the piss (ride magazine).

Cheers

Luke

Hi

For stuff like brakes, chains, servicing.... there is little that is too difficult. Take your time, buy some decent tools and you should be fine. Read the manual, and maybe try looking at a Haynes manual for a similar bike just to see the "unofficial" way of doing things

All the best

Hi

Chills has scanned in the NSR workshop manual (rather better than a Haynes) an has it around for downloading. Look for one of his previous posts

All the best

Not that much better!!! Very angry after it didnt tell me to remove the radiator BEFORE removing the engine. Piston got wedged against radiator and frame. The manuals a bit pants because its based on a full strip down.
