It is feared this will lead to tax bills rising by up to 400 per cent.

I presume you are aware that house prices and details have been publically available for a number of years?

they'll lie about it until after election day , then get elected and change their minds ,

sort of like with:
tuition fees
tax increases
congestion / road charges
more taxes

etc
