Anyone got them? (Apart from Mattish Razz)

Any good in a spill? Thinking of picking up a pair for when I can't be arsed screwing about with bike trousers.

Don't know how thay stand up to a slide, thankfully. But the armour isn't that thick. I'd expect they would be fine for 30-40mph offs but i wouldn't want to crash at 100 in them.

I think i paid £60 which is great value compared to other jeans on the market. Very warm and comfortable. Too thick to tuck into most boots but go over them with a bit of a squeeze. Not completely waterproof in a downpour but a lot more water resistant than they look.

I've got a pair of Hood kevlar-lined jeans, which are probably quite similar. I wear them in preference to my textile trousers most of the time, as they are more comfortable and probably give better abrasion protection. I keep meaning to get some Knox inserts at the knees and hips, although I'm wondering whether the trade-off between protection and comfort will make it worth it.

Get a pair and try them, I bet you'll like them, and avoids you looking like a lost fisherman everytime you leave the house.

I have got a pair of Giali jeans that I got off ebay for £20 and they are the most comfortable biking pants that I have ever had although I agree with what's been said before, if I had to go for a slide down the road, despite the claims that these are as good and have the kevlar...I'd rather be wearing my leathers!

Mine do tuck into my boots but only just and I've not experienced rain in them yet but I would imagine that they would be showerproof. The good thing about them is that you can put them in the washer so I suppose you could do them with that waterproofing stuff which would help.

Mine are fairly waterproof, even in heavy showers. The Aramid lining is fairly resistant to seepage, so although the denim gets wet and cold, your legs stay dry.

You think it's a laughing matter? One can't turn up to work in black jeans with dubious seepage stains on! Wink
