Hi all, im after some help as to what to get when im 17, i'm after a supermoto, i've been looking at the DRZ400SM, but from what i've read the seat height is too low for me (im 6ft4) so i need something pretty tall, and i'm on a budget of £2000, as theres only so much a 16yr old can earn from working at tesco, lol Laughing so has anyone got any suggestions on a tall but useable SM? thanks very much.

Jake

Erm, at 6'4". any off road styled bike will be fine.

I know quite a few people that ride sports bikes at that height - infact those who race with rearsets - so an even tighter riding position.

The DRZ seems a bit expensive for a not too 'super' moto, however they have come down to a much more reasonable price.
Is this going to be a 'do it all' bike or just a fun bike?

I still recommend an oldish converted 600cc trail bike.

However the DRZ should do all you want and will probably still feel moderately fast compared to what you have ridden in the past.

Ok thanks very much Thumbs Up i'll have a look at the 600's then, the DRZ is a little pricey like you say, and yes anything will feel fast compared to my Senda Laughing Thanks for the help.

I think that xr600's are a little heavy, (and i'm 6'3) I'd go for the 400, well, i did and i love it.

XR400 seems to be a popular option.
Also, there are plenty of aftermarket parts for it (more than for a 250)...
