No not the credit card type.

Basically this year after summer im thinking of going to either Australia or Yankland to work. Now this is really for people who've been out to either of the above places, when you apply for a 12 month working visa, i know you can keep extending it, but how long can you keep extending it for?

Also if i do decide come back to England for a bit, will i never be able to apply for a working visa again?

For the US I'm not really sure as I just had a 3 months torist visa and did a little work on the side for a friend.

For Oz I had a 1 year working holiday visa which is probably differant to the one your want, well if you plan to stay in one place and one job.
Mine was more for backpacking as you have to change employer every 3 months, there is ways round it if an employer wants to keep you for longer.
You can get an extra year stuck on your visa just by spending 3 months doing harvest type work.

If your planing on staying for a long while and settling into life over there, you could go for a skilled workers visa (well if your skilled in a trade there short of)
Or just go over on a working holiday/temp visa get a job with a good company and hope there sponser you to stay for a while.

Plenty of people I met had applied for extensions to there temp visa's with few problems, getting a permanent visa seems to be a fairly long and expensive process though.

For the US, unless you want to work illegally like Al did, you'd need to have a potential employer sponsor an H1-B visa for you.

Same rules as going to the UK on a work visa: unless it's a position on a skills shortage list, the company will have to prove there are no US citizens that are suitably qualified.

Oz is probably a better bet, since it's a Commonwealth country and would be easier for you to get into on maybe a working holiday visa?

if that were true, they'd let a hell of a lot more mexicans accross the borders.

There is absolutely no such waiver available.

Hi. A friend of a friend moved over to Oz way back in March on a 6 month working holiday visa, he only had his documents and money. No place to stay/job or anything, etc. He is now employed as an electrical engineer/fitter for one of the coal mines over there. They are now sponsering him and he has been granted a 3-4 year visa. When the new year arrives I'll also be applying for my working holiday visa Thumbs Up Good luck.
