Posting abbreviations for newbies

Ok, thought i would start a thread on abbreviations for those not too sure (like myself ) on certain ones, also helps when you have a long post, to slip some in, or if your rushed for time

So here are the ones i have picked up on, and feel free to add/change as you feel appropriate, I may have picked up wrong..

b4 = before
btw = by the way
atm = at the moment
ffs = for feck sake
hth = happy to help (cheers t_t)

Will add more when i think of them, or when someone advises

An abbreviation is a completely different set of vocabulary.

But where is that rule stated? actually curious about it.
