What sort of colour should the spark plug be??

Not long ago put a new one in and after looking at it, it looks quite black already.
Is it running to lean/rich?? Or is this usual?
if so how do i adjust this?

Cheers

Hi
Black means it is running to rich
The best way to get the right reading is to do a plug chop, get the bike up to temp take the bike to a long strate road ride the bike hard in all gears up to sixth, pull the cluch in at the same time as you hit the kill switch, pull over and take the plug out and check colour if it i is still black u have a problem, if it is a nice light brown then it is fine, and if it is white get it looked at ASAP.

How long ago is not long?
10 miles, 100, 1000?

if its closer to the latter then thats not too unusual.
Check your air filter as well though - it may need a clean.

Does a "dirty" plug need to be cleaned?...if so, how?
