I've had an uneventful few years on the bike, no accidents, perhaps a few near misses with the odd wet bend or something but other than that, i've been lucky.

Today i left late for work, i wasn't swtiched on totally but what happened 5 minutes from my place had me stunned.

I've drawn a crap drawing to show you. The yellow circle is perhaps where he came from.

This is at 7am, so it is like it was midnight. I was travelling down a 40mph road, cars parked on the left, further to the left are rows of houses, some have enough room for people to park right up to their place.

Some plank must have come from the houses across the path and past the parked cars, he just belted it out from behind the cars!

Literally if i had been a few seconds later, he would have taken me out, no question. You had to be there to realise how bloody stupid it was, i would have been street pizza this morning.

What a cock. Just wanted to post that. Mad

Seems to have been a funny morning, today I've seen more bad driving than the last couple weeks put together.

No.1 a lorry crashed on the m25, loads of people were changing lanes without checking mirrors.

No.2 had to use the horn and take avoiding action on someone pulling out on me from a roundabout queue.

No.3 following a breakdown truck it randomnly stopped in the middle of the road and without any indications started reversing straight at me until the driver heard the sound of my rev-limiter.

Perhaps the sound of your horn might have been a better bet.

You heard the horn on an nc30? I doubt it!

I didn't exactly have a lot of time to go for it either, I'd stopped fairly close to the back of the truck as I thought it was slowing down for a speed bump.
