Collected my Hornet today.

The service I received at Webbs was excellent - can not fault them.

I cant thank the chap that helped me collect it enough and he would not even take fuel money!

Anways, my restricted Hornet that won't go over 90mph (apparently), is perfect for me. I need to learn to ride it well, it does't daunt me and there is lots to look forward too when its finally unleashed, but plenty of time for me to get to grips first.

Got over taken by two biker boyz on the way home. BUT, I was much more realxed an happy than I expected to be.

I just want to say thank you to everyone on here who has taken the time to answer my questions. Esp Gavin who has been particularly helpful.

I got pinged up into the sky at one point (bump) - but I guess that what happens to little people!

Congratulations on your first bike. Its nice to hear of someone receiving good service from a bike dealer too. Take some time to learn how your bike works and to get used to it and I'm sure you'll have plenty of fun. Very Happy

Thanks all

Did my first solo ride this morning - it was Ok until the fuel light came on, juddering kicked in and I had to pull over and switch the reserve on. I'm very grateful the salesman told me where it was.

. . . . . . . . . . . so I'm not 'yet' familiar with the fuel consumption.

Near Bish Stort. Nice back route (A507) to Letchworth (via Baldock) - apparently voted one of the best riding roads in the UK a while back.

Rode my bike home at lunch time - took me almost as long to get it round the back of my house as it did to get home!

NB: It's a 25 min drive Laughing

It's a blooming obstacle course!!! . . . . . . . . I need a builder Cool
