........be bikers.

No one can see the nitwits coming like we can!

For every time we swear in our helmets or bang our gloves on the handlebars, that would be another twat reprimanded by the police.

Even better, they should have undercover bike cops on normal bikes!

Cool

Funny... I always thought of this the other way around.

All bikers should have the authority to pull over and throw the book at the SMIDSY who almost killed them.

They do around here (Sussex), so far I've come across Mr. Policeman on an R1 (nearly caused me to crash doing a double take) & theres a GSXR1000 (which apparently was a free gift from Suzuki).

Not seen them being used for pursuit work more so for demonstrators (e.g. bikesafe etc..) although the R1 did have blue flashing lights on it.

Those bikes are generally 'donated' I believe.

A few years ago there was several cases of people being 'baited' by an R6, only to find a marked police bike ahead with video recording equipment.

There was a copper on a Ducati SP2 up on Glencoe last summer. He even had his 'police' badge hidden under a velcro flap on the sleeve of his jacket.

Now that would be a cool job.

STEP 1: Someone cuts you up without indicating.

STEP 2: You pull up beside him and tell him to pull over.

STEP 3: You notice he is (as always) on his mobile.

STEP 4: He ignores you. Then after a while gives you Middle Finger

STEP 5: You smile, and pull up the velcro flap. Laughing

that would feckin quality!!!

*get's application to test, and police traffic division...*

i want police to ride 250, cos they would easily catch all chavs on mini-moto's, quads, scramblers, and some poor cnuts nicked ped.

bring it on, except they must have some visible signs, maybe a no. plate saying:

PIG 1.
P0L1C3
C0PP3R

etc...

Dicko, I noticed that you're trading in your cbr for a 750 GSX.

What's the dealio? If I were to buy a sportsbike, it would be a choice between those 2 (and maybe an R6.....)

Not happy with the CBR?

A friend of mine is a traffic copper and used to be a biker before she went into the job.

She's pretty much quit riding because of what she's seen - too many horrible accidents and dead riders.

Still a pro-bike copper tho, which is always a good thing Thumbs Up

So therefore she still rides!

So there is still hope...... Karma

I am a Roads Policing Officer and biker. From time to time I do use an unmarked bike to patrol on. Looks no different to any other bike but has hidden strobes and a siren. Very effective weapon in dealing with bad drivers.

Knowing a number of met police riders, and a few that also run the bike safe courses, most of them ride their own bikes and unmarked on occasions. Great bunch of guys, who will turn a blind eye to some stuff, but will definately nick you if your riding like a c**t.
It is the panda wannabe area car non bike riders who give me more grief than anyone else, usually because they don't understand that loud pipes can save lives.

Does bad drivers consist of Wheelies, stoppies etc..? Or is that good 'throttle and brake control'? Wink

I think I'd die if I saw an unmarked bike pull me over.

I think I'd die even if an unmarked car pulled me over Crying or Very sad.

Had a decent crash on it at the start of Dec and started looking at new bikes until the insurance company told me they were going to repair it. Though my brother just bought a cbr 600 FS so I might have to go for the CBR 600RR just to piss him off Laughing

I've seen plod on a blue r1, going the opposite way to me along the A444 had some yellow tape in it, he had black leathers on and white lid.

Saw the same bike or a clone at bikesafe too
