Nothing major, just came off coming out of a car park at slow speed (5mphish), just hit a twig.

My left leg got caught under it but it didn't get damaged and also saved the back fairing, engine, chain, foot pegs and basically all the bike except some scratches on the front which i am hoping can be taken care of with a bit of paint and plastic repair stuff.

A couple of friends came over, a woman came over and another woman driving a school bus stopped and got out, i was fine just got my thoughts together and tried to start the bike, it wouldnt start cus i forgot i had hit the kill switch, then it still wouldnt start cus it was in gear with side stand down, after about 10 minutes of faffing around i worked this out and got it started and came home.

Now i'm home and all i've lost is some petrol from the bike, couple of scrathes on the fairing like i said, all the oil is fine, everything works and ive just got a grazed ankle and knee.

Done the thing where you test ur ankle by moving it in all directions and its fine.

I wasn't wairing my gear and if i had of worn my boots i wouldnt even have a grazed ankle.

Also i have a dirty brand new £75 jacket, £60 jeans and new £60 trainers that are scratched to hell at the front.

At least i'm ok, and it was a nice sort of off to have as a first if everyone has to have at least one.

Plus i dint damage my lid as my head nether touched the floor so thats one thing less to worry about.

Thanks for reading.

Mike

Erm, Biker101 - You need to attend a biker 101 course.

ALWAYS WEAR YOUR GEAR.

Except when you're in the bath.

Glad you're ok.

Yes, i dont usually wear it for college because its literally 8 minutes away from home and the roads are really safe, it was just chance that it happend.

At the end of the day it hasn't put me off biking and i have gained experience today at a low cost.

That's good old mother nature for ya. Wink

She can be a callous bitch sometimes.

You'll only usually crash...

1. When your not wearing your proper gear.

And / Or.

2. When your wearing your brand new gear for the first time.

You wasnt wearing your gear because its only an 8 minute drive?

Learn from this.....

Wear your gear as it offers no protection to you when its on your bedroom floor.

ROADS REALY SAFE...But its the car parks that are the death traps. Wink

Its just chance that a car will pull out on you with no gear on...they dont phone in advance to warn you. Shocked

Lesson endeth here. Mr. Green
