Hey, Im after getting my tattoos removed, had a quote for laser for 1800 squid Shocked

Anyway just called another place who basically re-tattoo the skin using a solution which then draws the ink to the surface, you scab over and if you dont pick it dont scar.......or so they say.

17.50 per 1/4 hour? I dunno

Has anyone had one removed and can offer any advice? Very Happy

Serves people right for not thinking things through when getting a tattoo. When you get a tattoo, they are something that last for life. They aren't ink on paper that you can tippex away, hence why they are so expensive to remove, that's why I advise a lot of people against certain tattoos, cause I know they will regret it in the long term. I'm going back a few years, so technology may well of improved, but a friend of mine went through laser treatment (well, many laser treatments, lasting months actually) and gradually the colours were fading - except for the colour red! It seemed that the red laser wasn't doing any good in breaking down the red ink. Her arm was in some state for a very long time.
Perhaps someone could give an updated version ....

I almost stupidly got the Suzuki "S" tattooed on my arm and decided it looked kinda ghey. Also if I buy another make it would look stupid.

I think when I am 30-odd I might get something bike related tattoed on my arm.

Excuse me sonny! My tattoos are so well thought through you wouldnt believe, I designed them myself and had them knowing full well how long they last. BUT! in 10 years time shit changes and now I want them gone so before you get on your high horse go do it and then dish out your advice. Rolling Eyes

All Im after is experience, so has anyone had them removed by either method above?

Well, i'm at that age where all my friends are getting ghey tattoos that I just /know/ they will hate in 10 years time. Therefore, I just emptied my frustration on a public forum. Cool

There's another tattoo thread about full of kids saying they want this and that, go mock them, that's where I'd do it.

Agreed, its her body so she she can do and undo as she pleases Smile

I have one and it's fine, but should I one day want it gone, then I'd be asking the same questions.

You'd be better off asking on a forum such as https://www.skindeep.co.uk/forums/.

From what I've read the only successful way is through laser treatment, and I have also read about red only being able to be removed.

As you like tattoo's have you considered getting a cover up done? Will probably work out cheaper and is probably easier to do.

I beleive there is a member on here who is a tattooist but I forget who.

Yeah I have considered a cover up, it wouldnt be to difficult as I can easily design an addition to make the annoyance with the current tattoos go.

Maybe I should go for a cover up job and then see how that is to live with. If I still dont like it then its the right time to get them removed for good.

Very Happy

Yeah just thinking about what to do with them, but would hand draw the cover, then they use it as a trace straight onto your arm.

AndrewcZXR400 or something along those lines is a tattooist.

P.S, I'm interested in the motivation behind those two pieces. Smile

Shifty

I always love a good rideout in the summertime, hoping to do some major mileage on the big blue beast.

Just done an insurance quote, looking at £276 TPFT for my renewal. How's that for a slice of fried gold? Very Happy

Top one extending the hair is looking good Fran, not too sure about the other one though.

Mate of mine has just opened his own studio, might be a bit far to travel but he's damn good and specialises in coverups. I can email you a 10% diiscount voucher too if it would help! Wink

To be honest though, i know you designed them yourself, but both tattoos are pretty crass.
As tek says, wtf was the motivation, screaming orgasms with the bloke at the time or what. At least the top one didnt look like something out of 'the thing'
