Hi, at uni I have a Dell 19inch flat panel with a TV card in my tower and my xbox hooked up to a VGA convertor, that cable shown is for a 360 which outputs hi def as standard. If you want to know more about hi def modes on a PAL xbox I can enlighten you entirely but perhaps beyond the point.

Not sure of the cost of the monitor, but the vga box was about £50 and the TV card about £40 when I got them. It might work out slightly cheaper getting the HDTV but bear in mind that the monitor is much more versatile, mysystem saves me the need for having a separate monitor and tv in my room where space is at a premium. Furthermore, there is no chance in hell that you'd get an flat TV as cheap as an LCD monitor. Thumbs Up
