Honda FMX650, any good?

At work, bored, it's Friday...

So I thought I'd kill some time by asking if anyone knows whether the Honda FMX650 is any good. I currently have an XR125L, and thinking of getting the FMX650 once I've done my DAS in a few months time. I mainly use the bike in town for commuting to work (~6 mile journey one way).

Apparently there are good but a bit pricey for what they actually do, i'd be tempted to stick with what you have, or go up to a 250 perhaps..
I'd go for a bmwf650 for a similar kind of bike personally, its much better at more things.

Really depends what you want out of a bike. Personally if I was doing DAS I would want something with more poke than a 37bhp Dominator derived single. It's supposed to be a nice bike but is maybe aimed at someone who has got a 33 bhp restriction.

I would be inclined to agree with mr.z and look at the Beemer if that's the sort of thing you are after or an older Tiger/TDM.

Should be an ok town bike, but as others have said, was over priced.

If you can get one for a very good price, worth a look, otherwise avoid.
