Right so at the description it says it's only done 800 miles and it's an '05 model yet when he writes about it he says it'san '03.

Would like to know what to do. I've contacted the seller (has no feedback) asking if the £1,300 is real. Not said I'm buying it though.

Would really like to know as I'm saving up for a CBR600. Was thinkign an f but if this RR is onyl for £1,300 then I'm having it.

I've contacted himso I've got nothing to lose at the moment.

I'm just wondering as to why the price is so low.

Wondering if he meant to put 13,000 instead also. Though I highly doubt that.

EDit: 'scuse the ignorance, but VSR? I don't know much yet.

A vehicle status report, although just noticed he hasn't put the Reg there though, so you would have to go see the bike then get the info I think.

Has to be a mistake.

To be honest, I think that comes under the category of "If it seems to good to be true, it usually is.".

The going rate for that bike is closer to £3,000. If he comes back saying it was a typo and he meant £3,100, I'd believe it.

I wouldn't even bother my arse going to look at it at that price, if he is genuinely offering that bike at £1300, there is something seriously dodgy going on.

Look at the pictures, that bike is not in the UK, the cars and the houses look pretty American

Yeh as already decided it does seem pretty sketchy.

To be fair I would have looked elsewhere as soon as i saw the title 'CBT 600RR'! Confused

I mean wtf, doesn't the guy even know what bike he is selling?! Plus there are some weird typos in there too that put me off a seller, let alone his offerings, straight away. Thumbs Down

Of course it's a con. The car in the background even has a foreign plate.

I'd rather have his turbo'd 05 gsxr though for £1300.

tis a scam, and an old one at that. he will ask you to wire him the money through moneygram or western union. you wont see your money again, or the bike. and you'll have absolutely no comeback on anyone.

report to ebay, now!

I all sounds/looks a bit "suspect" to me. Take a look at the pictures, the cars aren't UK style cars and they're parked on the wrong side of the road. ic was taken abroad somewhere, so why is he trying to sell it in the UK??

The word "ringer" springs to mind. Thumbs Down

Tip: Avoid it like the plague.

It's in America. I reconise the architecture.

The prices and the fact that's it's a cliassified ad with less than basic info are screaming scam. Shame some poor soul will fall for it.

Everyone with an ebay account please report both listings. Thumbs Up

The bikes do not exist (Well, obviously they do, but only in Google images, which is probably where he got the pics).

This type of scam involves the scumbag finding a nice photo of a popular, fairly pricey bike, offering it for a bargain 'too good to be true' price. (It is!)

Some unsuspecting person can't believe their luck to come across such a deal, and are more than happy to ping 1300 quid off to this tw4t by Western Union or some other money transfer system.

He is 1300 richer, you are 1300 quid lighter and will never see any bike or hear from him again. Because he never had a bike to sell in the first place. Happens with cars and other high value goods too.

As has been said, if it seems too good to be true, it usually is. REALLY.

Example, if you were at a car boot sale (which is what eBay is, really) and some bloke you'd never met offered to sell you that bike for that price, and showed you a nice pic, would you hand over 1300 quid cash to him if he promised to drop it off to you tomorrow? Would you fcuk.

Don't get scammed people, remember - cynicism saves lives!! (well, hard-earned cash, anyway Razz )

I wonder what he will do?

Even if you report it and the listing and account are locked, it'll just pop up again next week. I've seen that same CBR listing for the past year or so....
