I have noticed people talk openly about illegal software in geeks zone and add links to cracks/keygens and serials. This will get the forum shut down and the admin a nice empty wallet.

We really need to be carefull when talking about such things. Trust me i have been a member on many so called warez forums that have been taken down. I know i sound like a nagging old fart ( i am ) but this is quite serious. Maybe if people wanna pass on links to the above mentioned stuff they would be better doing it by PM ?

From what I can see, there's no way Korn & the moderators could individually check each post that has a link to such sites/downloads?

I suppose the people who are posting such links etc.. are technically breaking the terms of use on the site.

well as this only happens in the geeks area it should be easy to check. Then adding filters on such words as warez, cracks serials would stop some but it is really up to us users to think smart Wink

On a forum i hang out on you cant even say the word serial or key lol u get a pop up saying "we are not allowed to say that"

err do you actually read threads or just spout shit, no i didn’t join just to say this. In fact if this is a typical high intelligent reaction i get on posts i might as well not bother here at all.

I was trying to point out that some things posted in here are illegal, if people cannot give friendly advice with getting dumb reactions whats the point.

I'm quite certain that people on here are (mostly) intteligent enough to realise the ramifications and legalities of there actions if for no other reason that it is rammed down there throat at every opportunity by official types and people like you!

not exactly ramming now is it.
Unlike you i actually do think about ramifications and legalities and the problems the admin of his own forum can get in to (running my own forum i know what hard work it can be and thus respect the admin for this) but eh i aint gonna argue with you. You think what you want i will to.

It is up to the owner of the forum if he wants to allow it yes or no.
