Patrol alarms. Help

Christmas cashed me in about 80 quid to spend on an alarm, and it's just enough to get one from a make called Patrol. The guy at my local shop recommended it and said it's reliable and f'n loud. Has anyone heard of the make?

Not heard of them mate. I can recommend Sola-larm if you don't mind a bit of DIY fitting. They usually get decent reviews and will do much the same as an insurance approved alarm without the extra expense.

I live in Spain, so the insurance isn't affected by any alarms, and there is NO theft insurance from ANY company. I want to be able to fit it myself with a little bit of effort and reading the manual if possible

I checked out the link, and they seem good value. What exactly do you meean by DIY fitting? Can i possibly do it myself? On an rs 125 by the way

I'm sure any alarm would come with fitting instructions. I wouldn't trust myself to fit a complex one, because the damage I could (and probably would do) would probably cost more to put right than having the alarm fitted in the first place.

I once sold a car on Ebay where the immobiliser had packed up and permanently immobilised it. The guy who bought it stripped the immoboliser and alarm out and drove it away. It was like watching an artist at work.
