Well I'm going to view a 2001 CBR600 FY this coming monday (hopefully) and im just looking for some CBR600 FY known faults so I can scrutinise this seemingly perfect example of a looked after bike. I know it has covered 12000 miles, had new tyres in april of last year has a list of mods the length of my arm fitted to it (crash mushroom, exhaust, custom paint job, heated grips, rearset, hugger, braided hoses, new sprocket and chain)
So basically looking to be prepared as it's my first big bike and I dont wanna buy a lemon!

cheers, jamie.

They are prone to cam chain slap, which is not a big job but very common.
The lugs on the fairing fasteners also tend to go after a while, but then they are not alone in that.
Otherwise they generally go and go and go.
Good choice.

Strangely enough i am putting the back end of one on my zx 10 right now.

I am unsure of any particular problems but there do seem to be a lot in the breakers yards with damaged panels.I have found it really easy to pick up parts though which is a plus point Thumbs Up
