can anybody please tell me if the italian import nsr125's have a derestricted cdi unit or any additional restrictions to the uk model and if so how do i derestrict them or were can i buy a new racing cdi?
there must be some restriction or something wrong with it because i just took it for a run and the throttle responds really bad and the bike nearly cuts when ur pulling off but then when i hit 8000 revs it just hits a massive power band takes off like a rocket.

That sounds more like a power valve stuck in the open position

All the best

Hi

Disconnect the cables and try to operate the valve by hand (repeatedly) and hopefully it should free off. If that doesnt work then the chances are you will have to strip the valve completly, and I think that may require pulling the top end off the engine

All the best
