I'm currently using xreg who are ok when things are working but are impossible to get hold of if theres a problem.

I need somewhere I can register domain names and still be able to keep full control of dns settings etc.

Any sugestions?

Ideally, you should sign up to a reseller agreement with tucows, sort yourself out with a nominet IPS tag and have a couple of your own nameservers hosted at a colo centre.

If that's not an option, then 123reg are cheap-ish and let you delegate control of the ns servers somewhere else, then you could use a service like easydns to manage the zone records for you, only easydns aren't exactly cheap.

DNS servers are no problem at all, I have a Rackspace account that lets me use their dns servers for any domain I like.

I'll take a look at 123reg. Cheers
