I dont see how you could actually gain anything from that scam though? If I wanted to buy that bike, I'd turn up, and if it wasnt exactly as described, I wouldnt give him any money. What can he be gaining other than listing fees? Its not even like you would put a deposit down to get him to close the auction since its classified. Unless hes going to try to rob you when you arrive??!?

I've noticed the same sellers on e-bay with 0 feedback from london also trying to sell a pair of mint 05 CBR600RR's at about 1900 quid saying that he has a back problem, so beware too!

Also in the pics of the R1, don't they look suspiciously like a southern american or midwestern state, since when did london have an abundance of wooden bungalows??!

It's hard to believe that anybody actually falls for these scams, it's almost as if there is an enormous Acme sign coming out of the monitor pointing down at them saying "DON'T BUY THESE ONES YOU IDIOT!"

Classified ad's, extreemly long time left, terrible spelling, punctuation and grammer. Quite often the photos feature supurb weather, wooden houses/different aritechture, unusual road markings, and none british plates. Lastly but most importantly beautifully looked after, low milage, bikes for next to nothing. If it is too good to be true it most definitely is a malicious hoax.

The old saying 'A fool and his money are easily parted' springs to mind....
