Got an entry form a couple of days ago for this year's run down from London, do people fancy doing a 'team bcf' again?

I'm up for this.

If all goes to plan me and Ste should have a fairly unique bicycling contraption to enter on... Laughing

Will be doing it, however may go for an early time slot and go for it this time instead. Under 4 hours is my target.

Personally I'm alright with any of the start times although I can definitely understand wanting to do an early one for a bit of clear air to cycle in.

I wouldn't mind getting my entry form in fairly soon so if we are going to do a team BCF thing then what start time's most popular? 8ish?

Unfortunately I'm racing this weekend, so won't be able to make it.

I think I may look at doing some other similar event (hopefully a bit less crowded too Smile ) at some point - they do an Oxford to Cambridge, amoungst others.

Like those, only more successful and probably slightly more stupid/dangerous as well. Razz

Right I'm gonna get my entry in the post tomorrow for an 8:30 start. Not sure what everyone else is planning but unless anyone else is a definite I'll just leave the team section blank as it doesn't really make any difference at the end of the day.

Cor £28.00 is quite a lot for entry! Plus you have to raise money!

I'm going to be doing a 55 mile Tour of Wessex on whitsun weekend.

They have a 25, 55, 125 or 325 mile option over the weekend.

It's only £16.50 to enter into the 55 mile tour. Smile

Sure, me and Tina are up for round 2, it was a good laugh last year! Cool

Although I haven't heard a peep put of the BHF...

and just a thought, as we entered last year does that mean we get 'express' entry this year?

That's odd, I got an express/priority entry form through about a month ago which was why I started this thread in the first place. I've now posted mine as apparently it has to be with them by the 1st of March to guarantee getting in, tho I'm sure people won't have any problems leaving it later than that.

I put myself down for 8:30 but going by the organised chaos at last year's start I doubt it matters much when I show up.

Errr, have people been receiving stuff in the post by now then? Sent off the entry form and cheque a while ago, cheque hasn't been paid in and I've not had anything from them in the post, Korn's not had anything in the post either. Confused

I got my confirmation through ages ago, a second 'in case you filled up the first one' sponsorship form came through the letterbox a few weeks back as well.

My uncle's doing it and he's got all his stuff through too, so presumably you guys have slipped through the cracks somehow. Confused

Today we made and tested the cycling contraption. Mr. Green

https://www.okas.co.uk/stuff/bike-thumb.jpg

It worked as long as the ground was completely flat, any type of a camber or hill and it didn't work, corners were 'interesting' as was braking. Managed to go about 3 or 4 miles in an hour and a half, and then the wheels gave way. Laughing

So errr, we'll be on conventional bikes as there's a reason no one makes bikes like that. Wink

Got my cheque and entry form in the post this morning along with a letter saying how it's full.

Bikes like that made with bikes like that, maybe Smile. Use some decent bikes and link the steering and I reckon it'd be fine!
