I am looking to buy the vanucci ventus 3 jacket but walked into a bike shop and saw a new frank thomas titanium extreme jacket (which comes in tour and sports style) has anyone had any of these jackets to comment on,like weather proofing and for warmth feel free to add comments about any other jackets for winter or all-season use.Dont you wish there was a web site or a new magazine that would come out and test these and other biker clothing instead of us parting with hundreds of ££'s and realising that they were a waste of money?

Apparently the Frank Thomas jackets are quite good. The only problem with them is that the end of the sleeves aren't as waterproof as the main body of the jacket, so you'll get soggy wrists!!

Stick to Vanucci.....

magpiemale have you tried this jacket???

I'm looking to buy something like this, this week. The only real annoying problem is that my gloves won't fit over the cuffs of the jackets, all except one that is. And I've tried fitting them under but that won't work either Sad.

Is this something I will just have to put up with or a common problem?

well CR I have not bought it as yet but you can ask www.getgeared.co.uk about the jacket also you can get your gloves underneath the jacket view the review on the same web-site also here is a link though in german you can view a 3D view of the jacket from front to back https://www.louis.de/_207e2cd299b8dfbf62eeb34ba12ed4a662/index.php?topic=artnr_gr&article_context=detail&grwgr=110&wgr=870&list_total=6&anzeige=0&artnr_gr=205230 I will be getting mine at the end of the month but I really find getgeared are very helpful I have the hein gericke psxr blouson which was £99 and still is!!!
and I am very pleased with it I rode to london in the terrible weather and I only got soaked in the middle of the chest and at the cuffs so this jacket I would recommend as long as you nik-wax it in the washing machine. The only thing about the hein gericke is that it is not really for winter use (heavy rain, frost etc) but it does very well if worn with a regatta fleece underneath and the usual t-shirt and vest. Also you can get your gloves underneath it as it has zips on the cuffsbut the psxr will get you out of trouble
