Ive just come off my A2 liscence and finished my restriction period.

Does my liscence entitle me to a provisional for learning to drive a car?[/quote]

Isn't there a 'Provisional Entitlements' box on your paper document telling what categories you have a provisional for? I'm pretty sure you should have a provisional B category.

Right well turns out that it doesnt realy matter if i can find my counterpart or not, i still need to send my liscence off and have it added.

So im just applying for a new one Laughing

£26 down the drain, 'cos i need a replacement tax disc aswell because they never sent it through the post, and to get a free replacement i have to ride around without a disc for another month at the worst, which could end in a £60 fine aparently. Money grabbing retards, the lot of 'em.

Seriously angry today, nothings going right and now to top it off i am completely skint!

And i dont just mean "Meh i dont have enough to get that plasma screen at the weekend", i mean i just about have enough to rally together for one more fuel top up to get me to work and back until next week... Sad

GRRR!

eh? I never did anything when I started my driving lessons. Just took my photocard and counterpart and it automatically counts as provisional for B category.

Hey,

I started driving lessons again today. I took my full bike licence and counterpart. The licence still counts as a provisonal car. I think it maybe the 'p' for provisional your looking for. Look on the back of your licence Thumbs Up

Cheers,
Shaun.

No that "P" stands for category P which is a moped, I think. Laughing

Aight well its the counterpart that you need anyway, ive been told by my instructor to be - and his boss, and the DVLA office that i need the counterpart - and its no where to be found anyway, so regardless i needed to apply for a new one.

Well yes, you do need the counterpart.

A driving licence is the counterpart AND the photocard. You don't have a driving licence unless you have both.

We were just saying that you don't need to send off your licence to get provisional entitlement added.
