I need examples of a recent Civil Disobedience, preferably in the UK, but does not have to be.

Just any example that shows resistance to the state.

It's for my Politics coursework. It's not that I can't think for myself, but I know I don't know every Civil Disobedience that have happened recently.

The lucky winner who posts the most interesting Civil Disobedience gets a forum cookie. Very Happy

The only recent one I can think of were the fuel protests a few years ago where convoys of trucks did go-slows on a few motorways and put up pickets around some refineries. I'm not too sure if that counts as an actual case of civil disobedience or whether you'd just call it a strike, but for what it's worth

EDIT:

or just about every other day in france. Would it be worth citing examples?

The poll tax riots were not civil disobedience though, it was just a riot.

The most recent would probalbly be the fox hunting ban.

the levels of non-payment for the poll-tax would certainly count as a major grass-roots act of civil disobedience though (or else proof that the nation as a whole is a bunch of cheapskates)

Non payment and riots are different things though.
