Now my friend got a fazer from a dealer fitted with heated grips, we replaced the bars so now ive got them..

when they were on his bike, they never got warm atal, and took ages, ive hooked them up to a battery charger, and they get really hot, but it takes at least 10 mins.. is this normal?

i also took my battery out and connected them direct, again, didnt get hot as the charger, and took a while (by the time they heat up my journey would of lasted!)
Im debating wether or not to put them on my bike, as if there crap i dont want them on there..

any suggestions why there not heating up of the battery (ive got a volt meter on them, and each power output is reading a healthy 12v. and its drawing 2 amps.

cheers, Steve.

I thinks its some thing to do with the switch position !
Sounds silly but the position it should be on to be hot bears no resemblance to commonsense !
I heard a few people say this on another site, I check it out and get back to you.
