I've kindof had a little Spill... and not of my beer!!!

I was happily riding along usual morning just head to college to take a business exam.

Then i decide that i wannt to go over some black ice (just for fun of it, as you do) at 20mph.

I come up to corner and just tap the brake and as a take a nice wide curve of the sharp right i ride over a rather large area of ice... slid abit and tried to straighten up then ended up going for a slide into the kerb (good 3/4 meters) trying to keep my foot/leg inbetween the tank and ground Laughing

Sat there on my arse for a matter of seconds and quickly turned the bike off and picked it up, put it on its stand!

Realised that i have nocked the speedo box abit and also that handle bars were nocked out even more! (since i dropped it in summer) Just went home and straight to college! To do my exam!

The exam went rather terrible nearly two hours of being unable to full straighten my leg and my knee was killing me. I love my padded leather jacket as my shoulder took what seems to be the biggest hit (the hi'vis jacket ripped abit) But my shoulder feels fine Smile

I've already got handlebars and speedo casing, front light and indicators off. Just to get the light 'rack' as thats the most bent item on the bike!

I'm seeing this as experience as i have learned not to ride when people on the TV say theres going to be ice on ungritted roads. Rolling Eyes

As i've done some damage i'm thinking of putting my new indicators and some new (slightly fancy) handlebars in. Or is this a waste of money as im going to be selling it in few weeks. I expecting this to happen just as i was planing to sell my bike!

just looks like bruising!

But my back rips on my right (side i went down on) are rather painful

Also my right knee which i spent 2 years in phsyo because it grew weird is quite alot of pain if i dont move it for a while!

Its nothing that wont heal after a few days relaxing

at least that was at the end of my exams and not after! lol

Something same style as my others not sure what styles they are to be honest!

Might go for a slightly lower "rise" on the bars as the orignals go up 3/4 inch and not to keen on them

BTw i already have 4 new mini indicators and only need a flash box which will make them run on 12v/20W

Might fit them on, but then might make my bike look like a supd up boy racers bike that could been "ragged", wich is not good when im trying to sell it in 2months

I'm going to relax and sort out the brace for the head light tonight!

What about these

You learned a lesson about ice today, it is not fun to ride on unless you are real good at it.
Hope the injuries heal soon and I hope you did well in the exam.
