What is the age, condition and milage of the bike? Also does it have any mods? This can help with the overall pricing of the bike! Thumbs Up

I think one of the pros of buying a new bike is QA term of 2years. So if there is a shop which take care of the bike of closed Suzuki shop, I think it's ok. How about searching for a other Suzuki shop and ask if they take care of THE bike if you buy it?
If you have skill of maintenance, it's no problem I think. But I strongly suggest to make the shop do the 1st maintenance before the closure, cause the first maintenance after 1month is often a duty of seller shop.
Personally when I was serching for a 125-250 bike, I went in a Suzuki shop, the clerk strongly suggested me buying grasstracker250 with price cutting. I felt something strange and kept on bike windowshopping. I decided to buy LS125R and then noticed the Suzuki shop has collapsed. I think shopmaster of the Suzuki shop was hurrying to sell the bike stocks. I was right I didn't buy from the shop I felt.

I can't work out if it's a mortgage or a lawnmower.

That sounds like a very good price, wander in there with £3300 in the folding stuff and see what they say to that. Any Suzuki dealer will cover the warranty, but as Kawashima said you will probably be best trying to get your first service done at the place you buy it from.

That seems Very good as I just looked on suzukis website and found that they are selling at just under £6000. I also looked on ebay and there is one 06 plate bike for £3100 with 900 miles on it and a top box.

If you wanna see it click below;

has it been registered yet? Either way its pretty darn good price! Thumbs Up

P.S. they are very good bikes and really quick. Wink

There won't be any problems starting a new SV if kept outside. They are a modern, fuel injected bike so reliable as anything and servicing is cheap. (only £160 intermittent, £250 full). You don't need to have it serviced by the shop you bought it from to maintain the warranty - Any Suzuki dealer will do. The naked is also 1 insurance group down on the faired version (which i own) at group 9. Means insurance is ridiculously cheap for the power available.

Corrosion wise, keep it sprayed in FS365 after every ride then wash it once a week and it will stay looking like new through winter. The FS365 is IMPORTANT. Just washing it once a week will not do.

If you are not fussed by the looks, or just can't be bothered to do the above, then the corrosion will happen on the fasterners, front downpipe, front engine casings, fork lowers, oil cooler and starter motor casing. It will reach a certain point and then stop. The corrosion won't actually effect the bikes reliability as such, although keep the brakes clean as corrosion of the callipers will Wink

I agree with extreme3d.

I have a naked SV on an 03 plate. various nuts and bolts have a nice layer of corrosion over them, but thats it.

I'm quite happy with mine. I think I'd get something a bit bigger as ER5>Bandit 6>SV650 isn't much of a change.

But we shall see. Smile
