Now am left with bike and hefty repair bill.
I was wondering if anyone is close by and either is a mechanic or DIY expert who can help me in getting it back to road!!!

what do you need doing exactly, im quite handy, do all the work on my bandit myself (changed the head bearing just the other day) have what i would consider quite a decent little workshop. im in southall/ealing aswell

Well, mostly it's the rear end of bike which has gone bust... Have asked them to fax me the estimate, but major parts are:
Pillion seat
Indicator mounting
Scotoiler
Tail fairing/ Lights
Alarm
Exhaust

I will pm you when i get the detail back as have to source the parts as well...
