An exercise ive been doing recently at the gym to help slim down my midsection is the Stomach Vacuum. Its basically just inhaling deeply and sucking in your stomach as if it were going into your ribcage. Once in that position you can contract your ab muscles and really feel them working. I do this at home lying on the floor or at the gym whilst lying back over a swiss ball to stretch even further.
It may be that you have a slightly distended stomach which makes even a tiny amount of fat coverage look worse than it is. A few years ago i was skinny as a rake and my belly still stuck out slightly because thats the way my stomach shaped.
Ive been doing these Stomach Vacuums for the past month or so and i can definatly notice an improvent. It works a lot of ab muscles that dont get worked with regular situps etc.
I would recommend trying them out within your routine and see how you get on.
Its a common techniquie used by a lot of bodybuilders to slim down their waists for contests.

in a nutshell...
you cant just target one area and make it smaller you have to decrease the fat on the whole of your body to actually see any difference. so bf& and you =] |
