'Scorps'

Re your post " the police officers at the hospital informed me that if mad dogg had been wearing a seatbelt he would have been killed outright, the fact that he was thrown across the car was what stopped him being crushed to death by the lamppost, and while it does nark me that he doesnt always wear one, i have to say that im rather glad he didnt on that occasion and before the mention of speed comes up we are all guilty of driving or riding like a loon on occasion well maybe not the children on here

I'm in full agreement with you, I never wear my belt unless on a motorway in heavy rain (things happen FAST in those circs).
I've seen numerous cases where a belt has resulted in a far worse outcome. Seatbelts should be choice except for under 16's in the rear. My Mrs wears hers but i just can't get along with them.

this appears to be a conversation about seatbelts and not the accident one you started and as its not flaming i dont see the problem with it being here, but john is correct in what he says, unfortunately a lot of deaths are directly attributed to wearing a seatbelt, personally i always wear one mad dogg doesnt and has been fined but thats his personal choice. whilst his injuries were critical and took along time to get over he is still alive which is the prefered alternative. three years today in fact and it did change our lives considerably and although hes over it i still get panic attacks if hes late home etc, maybe i should sue him pmsl Wink
