Binned my new R6 at low speed today, only had it 3 days lol!
low speed crash.
Turning left...Opened up the throttle like it was my 400... and boy did it punish me!

Flipped and topside crash. the result...?
scratched can, minor scuff to fairing on black bit. and a very bent and destroyed crash bung! Scuff to my new leather jacket, slight knock to my lid.

Oh... and a broken hand!
Overall I think very lucky!

Methinks I'm gonna be getting some tuition as soon as I have repaired my baby! (had planned on it, just not for a couple of weeks!)

Any idea if the crash bung being bent will likely do alot of damage? or can I just replace it?

A scuff about 2cm by 4cm on black plastic fairing... how much to repair?

How much are leathers to repair?
Like minor damage, seams all intact, like a gash about 3mm deep?

Thanks for any advice. Oh and feel free to flame me for being a noob!

A bent crash bung can often mean the thread it bolts into is damaged - this was the style that used and caused problem on my 99 r6, though it was crashed a few more times than yours I suspect Smile.

Shouldn't be a problem initially, but a problem to fix if it does turn up (engine out job).

Replacing it should be fine for the moment.

Leathers, I'd expect about £30 to repair. Can get a roll of gaffa tape for as little as two quid for the fairings Smile.
