i dont believe in any god, but im praying this is true. good riddance to bad rubbish. serves the dirty fu<kers right!

i dont believe there will be any cheap stuff. i reckon the owners will pillage the stock in any way they can, before the recievers get a look in. judging by the way they treat customers, id bet theyve been syphoning off all along and thats whats made them go bust Evil or Very Mad

Receivers have been in for almost two weeks now. They are trying to sell some of the branches off as going concerns, but are clearing stock as much as they can with 25% discounts - not for bikes, though.

Spoke to someone today who got laid off from the letchworth branch, shame as it was one of the few Aprilia dealers around here.

Said he's happier at this new garage he's at now though, and did admit that they use to rip alot of people off.

They have done him a favor.

The customer service bad, I would not buy a bike from them.

Yes they are no more. I have met and talked to administrators and they are going to close Harrow branch in a month. The only branch to remain open for some time is apparently Letchworth. The workshop is still operating in Harrow branch..
But they are bunch of **** Thumbs Down

The Letchworth branch was the only one i ever visited on a 'regular' basis - mainly because it was the 'best of a bad bunch' of really shit bike shops near me.
Whilst i found the letchworth branch to be generally shit, i point blank refuse to give any money to my closest shop - Motorcycles & Moore in London Colney - as they are complete cunts who couldn't find their arsehole with their finger*.
The only thing i'll really miss is the 'roach-coach' burger van that's outside on a weekend - an ideal stop off on my way to the Baldock/Buntingford TT course.
Very Happy

* My fave 'nail in the coffin' of Motorcycles & Moore was the argument i had with one of their sales monkeys about Silkolene spray oil for foam MX air filters. Despite giving him the product code, he refused to believe that air filters ever needed oiling and asked the 'mechanics' in the 'workshop' - they equally had never heard of it and told me i didn't know what i was talking about.
Oh yeah, and then there was the row i overheard between the manager and an extremely irate R1 owner who had booked his bike in for service, only to discover that the service hadn't been done and his bike had sat on the street all day with the keys in the ignition.
And then there was the time i took an NC30 out for a test and it broke down within 5 miles - they had the cheek to ask me how much deposit i wanted to put down on it.
And then there was the time........etc etc
Thumbs Down

I'm quite pleased about this. I've had my fair share of problems with them. Saw a MASSIVE Yamaha truck outside the Harrow branch this morning. Could have been taking display/demo bikes back. Ah well. It will leave a vacuum, I wonder if FC Trott will start trading again.

yarr, tis true(random pirateness).

They have been losing money for about 3 years. The hyundai tie up really cost them big. The letchworth one was the only profitable branch, both harrow and watford were making big losses and dragging them down.

There is 15% off most bikes at letchworth and gear can be had a bit cheaper, that is before the importers come in to reclaim their stock.

The one at Letchworth was/ is my local and a couple of my mates work in clothing. They are still searching for a buyer.

Unfortunatly its not 100% true now. Harrow is the only branch that is going to remain open because.............. Someone has bought it!

My friend was in there the other day and met the new owner. He said all the mechanics are gone so I don't know when the serviceing will be up and running again. Not much left in the way of bikes, just 2nd hand stuff, Bandits and V-Stroms. Also the clothing is back up to full price.
