I had the insurence inspecter the other day. As some of u may have read i was shittin it just a bit about getting my Rs125 re-restricted for when they came round. Anyway the day b4 he was due I asked keith what to do and rang my Aprillia garage for some advice. In the end I decided not to both even attempting the mod cos of a few reasons:
1. It sounded alot more difficult to do than what I had thought
2.The aprilia garage said when ever their bikes have been viewed for similar reasons no ones ever checked for restricters
3. I was taking my test the same day they were comin, so i thought if they do try and argue over it I could say i had just done it. (which was a bit of a gamble cos i wasnt sure id pass ma test)
4. I couldn't be arsed

In the end I did pass ma test (4 points) whilst havin a hangover (not reccommended) and arrived home just b4 the inspecter arrived. He took tyre tread depths and viewed the damage. And he tried to argue over some things on the damage list, mainly the main frame cos its been marked from the crash by the fairing mount and its just viisable with the fairing off. He was trying to say it shouldn't right the frame off cos its so small and hard to see, but i said i wanted the bike as b4 the crash which was with out the mark, so we argued then he shut up and wrote something in his book (which i tried to see, but he covered it Rolling Eyes )

Now ive got to wait from his 'party' to reply to me. I cant wait for this to all b over, hopefully with me spending a few grand on a bike

thanks anyway for reading my rant, just thought it might be useful for any one going thro a similar king of thing. Also id recommend every one pays for legal cover on their insurence cos mines paid for fucking loads, i.e. a soliciter who charges £125 a hour!

l8r ppl
Ryan

P.S. if any one has some advice id like to know, cheers
