Hi
Uses the engine from the BMW F650. Vibrates a fair amount. Twin disks were an option. From mirror / indicator units were from the Gilera CX125. Issues with chain clearance on the swinging arm with the standard sprockets (they go through the protector on the swinging arm within a short time, normal fix is to play with the gearing to use a larger front sprocket).
Last ones were punted out quite cheaply.
All the best

Sweet handlers?
Around the 50bhp mark I'm guessing. What are spares like to find?

Hi
Meant to handle nicely. Just that they were launched before they had really finished developing them. There were 2 main versions, either single or dual seat.
Not sure about spares. Apparently Bimota have substantial spares stocks. And many Bimota specific parts are made in small quantities so probably not that difficult to copy.
Cost of fork seals might make you weap though. They only sell a rebuild kit, not seals on their own.
All the best

Saw one for sale at a guzzi dealer recently for about £2200. Not many miles and stuff, but I figured that the RGV is about the same weight, with more power and cheaper to maintain. Maybe! ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F; Cheap project: CBR900RR FireBlade

Bikez.com say 156kg. But then I don't trust 'em!
The RGV is lighter and quicker, its just a shame the engine went pop.
Luckily I know someone who happens to have a spare aprilia RS250 engine... ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F; Cheap project: CBR900RR FireBlade
