Keeping this short....

Downloaded Bit Torrent and I find it:

1: Sh1t for searching for albums....and
2: At a total stand still or only getting 1kb a sec


WTF???

Where am I going wrong??

What are you using to search for albums?

Bit Torrent is best for new releases; it works really well when there's loads of people downloading.

If there's not many sharing, it doesn't work so well.
Due to it's nature, older, less popular files will have a lot less people sharing them.

I find Torrentspy reasonable for finding stuff, but it has to be relatively recent/well known/popular. No use typing in the name of an obscure 80s Norweigen black metal band.

i simply use google

search for album name and the word 'torrent'

ok not eveything is easy to get, but its free so i dont mind if i cant get everything i want

If you just want music use limewire it can be a bit shite but can find just about any song

Some stuff is fast and some isn't (list by seeds is one way to get the faster ones), my pc is on 24/7 so its just done whenever its done really..

What sites are you using to get the torrents?

Try downloading something else or look elsewhere for the torrents, bit torrent is only good for recent releases that have lots of people downloading it (and so sharing it), for less common stuff it'll be slow.

There are lots of threads on BCF with good torrent sites listed so have a look for those, two of them being threads by you asking how to use Bit Torrent so maybe they'd be worth a look.
