Due to getting a company car, I'm being forced to sell my wee pride and joy! After 12 months and many happy, trouble free miles she could be yours!

Heres a bit about the car!

Type - MG ZR Hatchback
Engine - 1800cc 120BHP
Year - Late 2002 (Sep 2002)
Doors - Five
Mileage - 65,000
Colour - Metallic Anthracite
Transmission - Manual
Fuel - Petrol
MOT Expiry Date - Feb 2008
Tax - August 2007

I got the car back in April 2006 and have used the car primarily to drive between my house in Scotland and my work in Oxford. Most miles have been done on the motorway in 5th gear putting minimal strain on the engine. As such, the car was maintained regardless of cost and was always fitted with the best of gear. The car was owned by a school teacher prior to me so has never been "ragged" around or abused.

Starting on the inside, the car comes with some very nice sports seats for driver and front passenger. These are the type that hug the sides of your body giving you a stable feeling whilst behind the wheel. Throughout the car is a very nice half leather interior with the driver having the additional benefit of lumbar support, adjustable seat height and adjustable steering column. The car is fully fitted with airbags, three point seat belts and tinted safety glass all round. I removed the standard CD player fitted by MG and replaced it with a £200 silver JVC model that goes well with the carbon fibre effect trim that can be seen around the cabin. For those warm summer days the car comes with sunroof that opens fully to the rear or open upwards about three inches. The boot space in the car is excellent for a hatchback and can easily fit two or three very large bags or medium suitcases. The car comes from a non-smoking and non-pet owner so has no nasty smells or stains.

On the outside the car is in graet shape with only a couple fo minor marks that you would expect from a car of this age. The car is finished in metallic anthracite and depending on the weather or sun, can look black, grey, purple or blue! The car is fitted with standard MG 16" alloy wheels and low profile tyres that hug the road and every corner. It has a full MG bodykit fitted as standard including the rear spoiler and has also has a front splitter added at a cost of around £90. At the front the car looks at its best, fitted with dual headlamps and front fog lights the car looks like its ready to enter a stage on the WRC. The pictures say it all really!

I have put the car through its MOT this week to give the new owner total piece of mind. Below is a list of all work done in the last twelve months. The items in bold were done this week for its MOT.

New exhaust system, middle section and back box - £160
Two new low profile front tyres (205/55/R16) - £200
New rear brakes - £100
New bulbs all round - £15

Cylinder head gasket replaced at 52,000 miles by MG garage - £750 approx
Timing belt at 52,000 miles
Air filter and plugs at 60,000 miles - £50

The head gasket failure was a common problem with all of the K series engines and was replaced under warranty by the dealer. It was replaced by the highly acclaimed reinforced Multi-Layer Steel head gasket which is fitted to all Land Rover vehicles. Despite this, the K series engine is one of the most popular and reliable engines ever to be fitted to a car. The fact that it was made in 16 different variations and started production in 1988 is testament to this.

I'm looking for somewhere in the region of £4750 for my car but I am open to offers. The car is located in Oxford and Scotland but can meet the driver half way between any of these locations.
