hope youre okay?As for the bike,if it has a centre stand, put it on it and line the handlebars and check what direction the wheel is in(hopefully straight ahead??!).Spin the front wheel and keeping an eye on the rim,see how out of true it is..most times they can be trued up.Tim

Probably twisted the forks in the yokes, DT's crash well at low speed and you can usually just pick them up and kick them back into shape.

The wheels are hard buggers to bend so i doubt you would have done that unless you his something solid with it...Lamp post, sign etc.

aye im ok, i did a run out test since wheel not pointing straight and its defo got a bit of run out best guess 1cmish this wasnt a very technical way of doing it but a good guess, i rode it slowy home and need to have a bit of steering to go straight but i dont remember it weaving or anything, but at 10 mph guess i wouldnt anyway, think i hit the verge and pretty much dead stop at 20ish. whats the best way to check the forks are ok? thinking i going to have half a bike strapped to me monday to bug my engineering lectuer to check eveything proper.

just get a long straight rule and hold it against the fork, i see if its bent,
if its bent any where it'll be at the bottom yoke, chances are the shock soaked up most of the impact.
to straighten steering, loosen bottom and top yoke clamp bolt, and place the wheel against a wall and turn the handle bars untill every thing is pointing in the same direction again.
just like what you used to do with your bmx Very Happy
