das booked , what bike

i have booked my das to start on the 25th with 3 1/2 days training and the test on the fourth day.
i am 26 and will be doing it on a 500
im am going to sell my 210cc dna and buy a proper motorbike,
probably weekend after next.
(I know i should not have a 210 cc before anyone says)

i was thinking about a year 2000ish R6 but would like to know what people think of this bike realiability and cost to maintaine wise.

I got a 2000 R6 after passing my test, great bike. I didn't have it long enough to have any probloms but the 99/02's have alot of probloms with the gearbox which i hear is a pain to fix. Reliable bikes tho & parts are veyr easy to get hold of.

not a bad choice. Reliability will depend on how well its been looked after so take your time choosing - dont contract "shiney bike syndrome"
Maintenance wise, it depends on how much you use it but it will be the same as any other sports bike. Probably less than a 210 DNA aswell!
